Fulton Hogan is meeting regularly with community members from Templeton, Weedons, Kirwee, Islington and Prebbleton to discuss its proposed Roydon Quarry. The Community Advisory Group (‘CAG’) is made up of local residents, businesses and agencies. It was established to engage with the community, address any questions they may have and to challenge the design and operation of the proposed quarry.
Meetings had been taking place once or twice a month since the end of May at the Roydon Lodge site.
A range of issues were discussed, including traffic, water quality, air quality, amenity impact, the quarry’s staging and lifespan, rehabilitation, monitoring systems and Fulton Hogan culture.
CAG members said they wanted a greater understanding of the facts around the proposed quarry and to be able to express their concerns. They also wanted to quiz Fulton Hogan staff and experts on relevant issues.
The CAG meetings were being held alongside Fulton Hogan’s drop-in centre, which allowed the public to discuss the proposed quarry with a company representative.
Fulton Hogan welcomes the public to attend.
